Under the terms of Law 78-17 of 6 January 1978 amended by Law No. 2018-493 of 20 June 2018 known as ‘Informatique et Libertés’ and the General Regulation on Data Protection No. 2016/679, the User is informed that his order is subject to the processing of Personal Data by LIVINGSTONE TRAVEL as the Data Controller. The information provided by the User on the Website is used to process and execute orders.
The information required to process and execute orders is indicated by an asterisk on the website pages. Other requests for information requiring an optional response, or information relating to the User’s interest in offers that may be sent to him are intended to get to know him better and to improve the services offered to him.
LIVINGSTONE TRAVEL collects personal data when you use our services, travel with our company or visit our website, in particular through the use of cookies (additions). This data includes information that you communicate to us directly or indirectly, via third parties. These third parties may be companies involved in planning your trip, such as travel agencies, hotels, other airlines or airport operators and airlines with whom we have a contractual relationship in order to provide you with certain travel services.
The personal data collected includes, for example: surname, first name, name of your organisation, VAT number, e-mail address, telephone numbers, nationality, date and place of birth, passport and visa, etc.
Personal data will be kept as long as necessary for the purposes described in this privacy policy or at least as long as necessary to comply with regulatory requirements or to resolve any disputes.

2. METHODS OF COLLECTING PERSONAL DATA
In accordance with the provisions of Article 5 of European Regulation 2016/679, the collection and processing of data from users of the site complies with the following principles:
- Lawfulness, fairness and transparency: data may only be collected and processed with the consent of the user who owns the data.
- Whenever personal data is collected, the user will be informed that his or her data is being collected and for what purposes the data is being collected;
- Limited purposes: the collection and processing of data is carried out to meet one or more of the purposes set out in the general and special terms and conditions of sale;

3. PURPOSES OF COLLECTING YOUR DATA

- Travel arrangements (such as booking the flight and/or hotel, taking out insurance, the boarding process, connecting flights, transfer to the hotel, carrying out visa checks at the airport, payment and invoicing, car hire, assistance and complaints)
- Marketing information (through newsletters, promotions and other advertising messages)
- Statistical analysis and customer experience (how to improve our services and encourage our customers to make use of all our products and services).
- Surveys and competitions
- Security and legal requirements (related to security or legal issues)
- Administrative purposes (e.g. processing any complaints you may have, statistical analysis), accounting (card payment control, fraud control and maintenance of our systems),
- Customer account management: sending commercial communications, monitoring payment and the performance of contracted services.
4. TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED
We may communicate personal data to the following third parties for the purposes mentioned herein:
- Travel agencies, airlines, airport operators, insurance companies, call centres, hotels, car rental companies or other companies required to provide the services requested;
- Credit card companies, banking institutions and anti-fraud service providers
- Partners of loyalty programmes in which you are registered
- Authorised authorities, agencies or administrations as required by applicable local legislation, such as customs and immigration authorities or authorities responsible for PNR/API information; and
- Third parties responsible for protecting our rights or the safety of our customers, employees and assets (such as administrative or judicial authorities for the purposes of settling a dispute or upon request).
The transfer of personal data depends on the purpose and location of the third parties identified herein. LIVINGSTONE TRAVEL endeavours to store and transfer your personal data as far as possible within the European Union or to third countries considered by the European Commission as offering an adequate level of protection.
However, certain personal data may be sent to other third countries. In such cases, we ensure that such transfers are :
- Necessary for the performance of a contract entered into between you and LIVINGSTONE TRAVEL or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures taken at your request; or
- Necessary for the conclusion or performance of a contract concluded in your interest between LIVINGSTONE TRAVEL and the recipient of the data; or
- necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims; or
- Covered by data transfer agreements based on standard data protection clauses adopted by the European Commission or by any other solution that complies with current legislation.
5. SECURITY
LIVINGSTONE TRAVEL undertakes to protect the personal data collected, not to pass it on to third parties without the user’s knowledge and to respect the purposes for which the data was collected.
The site has an SSL certificate to guarantee that information and data transfer via the site are secure.
The purpose of an SSL certificate (‘Secure Socket Layer’ Certificate) is to secure the data exchanged between the user and the site.
In addition, the data controller undertakes to notify the user in the event of rectification or deletion of the data, unless this would entail disproportionate formalities, costs and steps for the user.
In the event that the integrity, confidentiality or security of the user’s personal data is compromised, the data controller undertakes to inform the user by any means necessary.
6. EXERCISE OF THE RIGHTS OF PERSONS CONCERNED BY THE COLLECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
In accordance with articles 15 to 21 of the European Data Protection Regulation, the User may at any time request access to, rectification, deletion or portability of his/her Personal Data, request limitation of or oppose the processing of his/her Personal Data.

Please note that when you request access to your personal data, given that LIVINGSTONE TRAVEL processes a large amount of information and within the limits authorised by law, we may ask you, before providing the information requested, to specify the information or processing activities to which your request refers.
For all requests relating to your personal data, please include the following information:
- your name and postal address ;
- a photocopy of your passport or national identity card, so that we can verify your identity;
- the reason why you wish to exercise your right of access, rectification, deletion, objection, restriction or portability in relation to your personal data or withdraw your consent, if applicable;
- your signature and the date of the request;

7. MANAGEMENT OF COOKIES ON OUR WEBSITE
