Safari 2 Days from diani, Mombasa, Kenya

Rule N°1: there are no wild animals outside parks and
reserves, except for dogs, cows and birds!

SHORT EXAMPLE FOR AN UNFORGETTABLE
2 DAYS SAFARI IN KENYA

Only 150km from Mombasa, extending over 20,812 km˛, TSAVO is the biggest reserve in Kenya, providing some of the most spectacular landscapes in the country, with the Taita hills, the Yatta slopes, the Chyulu volcanic hills and Mount Kilimanjaro, which is sometimes visible as a backdrop.

Kilaguni Lodge: Chyulu Kenya
Tsavo

Tsavo is also one of the wildest parks, where trailing animals such as lions, leopards, elephants, kudus, buffalo etc is a real pleasure. As the vegetation is mainly formed of thorns, it is dense and dry almost all year round. The animals that roll in the mud at waterholes take the red colour of the sun and give the impression of being other-worldly. Follow the course of the river, bordered by acacia, palm trees and tropical greenery where the river opens up and offers a real haven of freshness to hikers. Tsavo is also the preferred habitat of a great variety of birdlife. The semi-arid plains of Tsavo-East extend from the Taita hills to the Yatta slopes, where the wide river Galana flows, and where large numbers of hippos and crocodile can be found. There are numerous herds of elephants and buffalo on the vast plains of Tsavo-East. Tsavo East also accommodates several prides of lion.

Lodge in Tsavo East: Voi safari Lodge is located on a hillside and looks over the plains on Tsavo-East, opposite a watering hole where herds of buffalo and elephants come to drink in the dry season. An underground observatory has been built just in front of the watering hole. Lighting over the watering hole enables the animals to be observed at night. The Lodge features functional architecture and has numerous simply furnished bedrooms, as well as a huge restaurant with splendid views across the whole Tsavo East savannah.

Camping in Tsavo East : Tarhi camp is a tent camp that blends perfectly into the environment and recalls the pioneer days of safaris. All essential comforts can be found. The camp has around ten spacious double tents with built-in showers and toilets, an open-air restaurant or under a large tent. The site is exceptional, just on the edge of the seasonal river VOI where elephants and lions pass by. The atmosphere is clearly more authentic than at VOI SAFARI LODGE. Camping dans Tsavo-Est. Located under some large fig trees not far from the banks of the seasonal river VOI, it opens onto the surrounding savannah, often frequented by the animals. The location guarantees an unforgettable experience at the heart of the African savannah. You are in a double tent, we provide the mattress and sleeping bags. The site is equipped with toilets and a communal shower.
